Healy Preserve
Situated on a portion of the original Healy Homestead just outside of Macon, Healy Preserve was created to be not only an exquisite example of Argentine Estancia-influenced architecture but to also function as a home base for a busy extended family and incorporate a working wildlife preserve.
As with most Estancia-influenced architecture, the roof represents one of the most important design elements. To achieve an authentic look, the Ludowici roofing tiles were packed with a mortar wash in the traditional Argentine technique. The full glass walls and open interiors were made possible by concealing a commercial-style steel superstructure within exposed hand-hewn timber teams
Completing the stunning home is a limestone veneer that wraps through into the large fireplaces and walls of the massive Great Room, along with limestone pavers on the exterior patios flanking the vanishing edge pool.
